DNA testing is commonly used in family-based immigration cases in which a claimed biological relationship cannot otherwise be proven. Immigration cases involve a legal permanent U.S. resident or U.S. citizen who wishes to sponsor their relatives for admission into the United States. In order to do so, the sponsor and their relative must provide proof of their relationship. DNA Identity Testing provides confirmation that individuals have a parent-child relationship, or are related as full or half sibling. Although DNA testing for this purpose is entirely voluntary, if pursued, all indivduals must have the test performed by one of the AABB accrediated laboratories.
Andergene Labs is accredited by the AABB and is therefore included on the U.S. Department of State's and Department of Homeland Security's approved supplier list for DNA immigration testing. Andergene Labs has worldwide experience in coordinating, collecting and transporting testing samples and meets the testing requirements of the US Embassies and US Consulates around the world.
To set up a DNA test, please call us at 1-877-899-5700 (toll-free, within the U.S). In order to expedite the testing process, we will need a (fax or email) copy of the INS or USCIS letter that contians the beneficiary's file number, names and contact information for everyone involved in the immigration case.
We will send a DNA sample collection kit to the appropriate office in your country. If one of the test participants resides in the United States or Canada, we will schedule a convenient sample collection appointment for that person. We have thousands of sample collection sites across the U.S. and Canada and we are usually able to provide appointments close to your home or work.
